Travel and Transportation Info

Flights
To get to Alaia, you need to fly to Padang airport in West Sumatra.
Most common flights to get to Padang are via Jakarta or via Kuala Lumpur. Book your arrival flight one day before your check-in at Alaia, and book your departure flight one day after your check-out date.

Hotel in Padang
Due to the ferry schedule, you will need a nights stay in Padang either end of your Alaia Dates. We can help booking rooms for you with corporate rates.

Private Speed Boat
We organise private speed charter boat upon request.
This option is the quickest transportation between Padang - Alaia. Approximately 4 hours boat ride.

Transportation
Once you arrived at Padang airport, our padang logistic team will take care of the rest of transportation for you. You just need to arrive to Padang airport.
Transportation Cost includes airport and hotel Pick up/ Drop Off, Return Ferry tickets with a 15kg board bag surcharge, porter at harbour.

Ferry harbour to Alaia
Once the ferry arrived at Mentawai / Siberut, you will meet with our boat drivers. They will handle luggage, once jump on our boat, it will be about 1 hour boat ride from Siberut to Alaia

RENTAL LOG
We know these days a lots of flights does not accept longboards. Don't worry we have some longboard rentals available at ALAIA for our guests.
Available sizes are from 9'0 to 9'6'
mostly PU single fin. If you are thinking about rental one of our longboards, please contact us for availability. However we do not have much spare leash codes, please bring your own leashes and wax.
Rental Fees
up to 11 nights /US$250 per board per person.
up to 21 nights / US$400 per board per person.
Not includes repair or replacement fees.
